Why are ENA sleeves specific to particular holders?
-
There is no industry standard for boring bar holders.
-
The length of holder bores varies, and ENA sleeves are designed accordingly.
-
More importantly, ENA sleeves are designed for uni-directional force flow: the holder and sleeve set screws are on the same side of the bar. This prevents opposing screw forces, and unlike conventional designs it prevents the bar and/or sleeve from riding on the set screws (bad) instead of on the sleeve/holder I.D. (good). This also means that the sleeve's rear set screw position is determined by the holder's set screw pattern, to prevent any holder screw from mashing the sleeve's rear screw hole.
-
We chose to design around the industry leaders in both market share and quality: WTO and SANDVIK.
